It's Max, writing about being 26 weeks old! I am such a big boy now!
Not too much is new this past week, still practicing my rolling over skills, which are getting pretty good. I am also "standing" a lot. I just love love love to stand. Of course, I need a bit of help from Mommy or Daddy, but I am pretty good at it!
I have also started to really love my exersaucer, Mommy puts me in it when she is doing the dishes each afternoon, and I just love to stand and bounce and play with all the cool stuff on it. Now that I know how to work all the toys on it I like it a whole lot more.
One exciting thing, on Thursday my big sister Nisha and her mommy, Maire came to visit me, it was lots of fun. I really like Nisha a lot, I give her huge smiles and giggles, she is a very cool kid, like me! Next weekend is her 3rd birthday party, Mommy and Daddy are bringing me, I can't wait!
This weekend was just me and Mommy and Daddy. We went to the mall on Saturday and I got to people watch, which is one of my favorite things. I like to smile at all the people I see. Daddy bought me this cool kitty cat stacker toy that meows and I really like it, I sent some pictures of me with it. I don't know how to "stack" things yet but give me a few more months and I know I will be stacking with the pros!
Next Friday is my 6-month check up (more needles! YUCK) So in the next newsletter I will have the down low on how big I am for real! Mommy is guessing around 19 pounds.

This is me and my cousin Abby-Jo, she is about 3 weeks older than me, it was fun to hang out with someone my own age! In these pictures we are hanging out on the couch together, and in one she was trying to pull my head to her mouth, i think she wanted to bite on my ears! Very funny.
I have been a busy little bee as usual this past week, doing lots of rolling over and practicing my new sounds, mainly squeals, happy screams and lots of zerbert sounds, it is so much fun.
This past weekend I got to see a lot of Mommy and Daddy's friends at a poker game on Friday. Two of their friends are having a new baby boy in about a month so I will have a little buddy to play with soon! I can't wait to meet him. I like other babies.
Then I got to see Gramma and Papa Knight and Uncle Rob, Auntie Kathy and my cousins Asher and Abby-Jo. We had lots of fun, I was kept very entertained. I was a good baby as always when Gramma and Papa K babysat me so that Mommy and Daddy could go see a movie and go out for dinner for their anniversary, I went to bed without a hitch! It was lots of fun!
My "real" food repetoire is pretty big now and other than cereal it includes: applesauce, bananas, prunes, squash, sweet potatoes and carrots. Yum Yum, I like it when mommy makes me "real food". She also bought me this cool thing that has a handle on one end and a little mesh bag on the other end, she will put a peice of apple or banana in the mesh bag so I can chew and eat it without getting any big choky bits, it just gets mushed through the mesh. It's very very cool, and I love it!
I am getting better at balancing to sit up, although I still fall over, so I have a ways to go, but I bet you in another month I will be sitting up like a pro!

It's Max again to tell you about being 24 weeks old. I am "just a pleasure to be around" so says Mommy and Daddy. I really am a happy baby. I hardly ever cry and I am always laughing and smiling at everyone.
My newest thing is I am learning to make new noises. I think in the last newsletter it was the zerbert noise...I tend to find a new sound and then do it over and over and over again for days and days on end until I perfect it. Lately it has been this high pitched screaming squealing noise. It is when I am having so much fun doing whatever and it is very cute. I pretty much make this sound all day long, it makes Mommy and Daddy laugh a lot.
I also like grabbing mommy's face and pulling it up to mine and rubbing noses, am I getting much more into snuggles and kisses.
This past week I got to try out my jolly jumper from great-auntie Annette, it is so cool, I sent some pictures of me in it. I don't really "jump" in it yet, but I do turn all around. I really like it a lot.
I am getting so big now, mommy had to go out and get me some new jammies, because I am growing like a weed she says, they can hardly keep up! Mommy and Daddy are going to start looking for a new apartment so that I will have more room for me and all of my stuff (I have a LOT of stuff!), and so that when I start crawling and running around I will have lots more space. She talked to the landlord about maybe leaving before their lease was up (whatever a lease is...) and he said no problem at all. So I am looking forward to seeing what our new house looks like! Please wish us luck that we find a good one with a backyard for me to play in!!!
Anyway friends and family, I miss you all VERY VERY much, I hope you are all doing very well.
I am now 23 weeks old and I am loving it! I am getting so so great at rolling over, I can now go back to front and then back again no problem! I love being allowed to just hang out on the floor on my blanket with a bunch of my favorite toys.
I don't have a doctor's appointment at 5 months, so I don't have the low down on exactly how big I am, but Mommy thinks I will be probably about 19 pounds by the time I am 6 months. I am not too chubby, just big and tall, like my daddy! (editors note: daddy is chubby)
Mommy and Daddy finally got me the batteries for the ocean wonders aquarium that Nana and Grampa McColl got me for my very first Christmas. I sent along some pictures of me with it. I can turn it on and off with my feet when I kick it. I really like it a lot. I always get so excited when it comes on again after I kick it, lol.One of the other things I have been working on, when Mommy lets me, is taking teeny tiny sips from a real grownup cup. I just love to do it, but only if there is only a tiny dribble in the cup, or I might choke. It makes me feel grown up. Mommy is thinking of trying out one of those baby cups with a straw instead of the sippy cups. I have a sippy cup, and while I love to chew on it, I am not too interested in drinking out of it. I am also learning how to hold onto my own bottle, as long as it is not a heavy full one, I do pretty good. I must say I am doing all sorts of fun big boy things! I also LOVE to stand. Of course not all by myself, but if Mommy or Daddy hold me around the middle, I stand up straight as a board, I am very strong. I get so proud of myself I just laugh and smile and smile. "Standing" is one of my favorite things to do these days!

Can you believe it is 2007 already!?!?!?! My very first New Years!
I have been doing a lot in the past week or so...I am mastering the art of rolling over, now perfecting the from back to belly variation. There is a picture of me right after I finally got the hang of it, I was so happy and proud of myself! I am still always smiling and laughing, and I am very very ticklish, just about anywhere. I love just lying on a blanket on the floor where I can practice all of my moving and rolling tecniques. Mommy gave me a new Monkey stuffed animal, he has really long legs and arms and I like him a lot, here's a picture of me playing with him. I like to "talk" a lot and am learning lots of new sounds. Latest include "ba-ba-ba" and blowing bubbles and making zerbert sounds, so much fun! Still no signs of teething (other than the chewing and drooling that has already been going on for months now!)
I still love to have bare feet all the time, it gives me a lot of opportunity to chomp on my toes, which I love to do. I am always pulling my socks off as soon as Mommy or Daddy put them on so I can get at my toes! I sent a picture of that too. I am almost over my cold now, I have been such a trooper, no fussing or crankiness, just thirstier and sleepier than usual, but I am almost all better and am practically back to my old self!
