Hello Friends and Family! This is a bit of a long one!
It's Max here to tell you about my first Christmas and being 21 weeks old! I am officially 5 months old tomorrow (the 27th) and I am learning so many new things!
This past week I learned how to roll from my tummy to my back, the first time, I did it 5 times in a row, but now I only like to do it once in a while. I am still practicing rolling from my back to my tummy, which is much much harder, but I am getting the hang of it. I am still a very smiley and happy guy, and much to Mommy and Daddy's delight I am still sleeping for 10 hours a stretch at night before I wake up! Boy am I a good sleeper.
My first Christmas was a lot of fun, Mommy didn't have too many pictures right now to send, most of them are on other people's cameras so as soon as she gets them she will send them out too. On Saturday we picked up my great-grandma (gi gi) and drove a very long way to Kingston to visit my Grandma Shaw and my uncles Dylan and Rylande. My Uncle Dylan is still scared of me (I don't know why!) but Mommy managed to get him to get one picture of us together anyway! I also got to see my great uncle Steve and my 2nd cousins Darcie and Mackenzie, they liked me a lot too. That night we made the long drive all the way back home and I was not at all happy about being stuck in my carseat for that long, but I did ok.
Christmas morning was just me and Mommy and Daddy, I got to help open my stocking and open my present, I didn't really understand what was going on, but I really liked my cool toy that Santa brought me! Then we were off to my great-auntie Annette's in Ajax where I hung out with my great-papa, my Grampa McColl, Nana McColl, uncles Jay and Cory and cousin's Jenna and Caitlin, it was SO much fun! I got lots of cool stuff there too, boy my family must love me a LOT! I even met Mommy's (and mine too!) cousin who was visiting from Scotland. It was so awesome to see all my family, I miss them lots.
From there we drove to Newmarket to my Gramma and Papa Knight's, boy what a lot of driving! The next day we got to have fun with my uncle Rob and Auntie Kathy, cousin's Asher and Abby and my big sister, Nisha and her mommy and daddy, Maire and Peter. I just loved seeing everyone and I was a VERY VERY good boy. (it's true, ask anyone!) And I got more presents! I don't know what this Christmas is all about, but Mommy and Daddy are having a hard time finding places for all of my stuff, they say that I have more stuff than they do and I am only 5 months old! I know it is just cause I have a great family who loves me so much. And I love them too!
Then we went home, and I was happy to see my room and crib and all my "guys" (aka: toys and stuffed animals), I was so tired from all my visiting that I went to bed without a hitch and I am sure will dream about all the great people I got to spend time with!
Anyway everyone, I hope you all had as great of a holiday as I did! I can't wait to see you again soon! Lots of love, Baby Max (and Tim and Kristie!)
I am 20 weeks old this week! Boy do I love being 20 weeks old! I am so much bigger than I used to be, I weigh about 17 pounds now, and am getting bigger everyday! I still love to chew on anything I can get my hands on, on my toys and on my bib, I love to chew! Mom thought I might be teething, but she can't see or feel any teeth yet, so we'll see!
I have discovered that I LOVE to listen to mommy or daddy play the guitar and sing to me. I laugh and squeal and kick, I get so excited! I have always loved music, sometimes the only thing that will stop me from crying is if Daddy sings me some Radiohead.
I am learning to use a sippy cup this week too! So far all I do most of the time is chew on it, but every once and a while I managed to get some water out, and boy do I love that!
Mommy and Daddy have also (finally!) figured out that I much much prefer to have bare feet. All the time, if possible, I love to grab them and even stick them in my mouth sometimes, toes are so much fun! Lately I have NOT enjoyed getting dressed. If I had my way I would just hang out naked all the time. But mom tells me I can't be naked all the time, so sometimes I just have to let her get me dressed, but I give her a good struggle!
Anyway everyone, I hope you are all doing well! Have a very Merry Christmas, I will send you my next newsletter afer then!
It's Max writing to tell you all about being 19 weeks old!
This past week, lots of fun new things happened. First and the most fun, I got my Christmas present early....and Exersaucer! There is a picture of me in it. It has so many fun things on it, it is so so much fun!!! I also got to visit with Gramma and Papa Knight and my Uncle Rob, Auntie Kathy and my cousin's Asher and Abby. Abby liked to pull my socks off for me. I don't blame her, I love pulling my socks off too, it's one of my new favorite games!
I am laughing a lot now, sometimes I think something is funny and I will just burst out laughing and Mommy and Daddy can't figure out why, but it's pretty cute! I also sent a picture of one of those times.
I still love eating "real foods", I eat rice cereal, barley cereal, prunes and I just had squash for the first time the other day. I loved it and ate it all up.
I am still growing bigger and bigger and happier and happier everyday! I can't wait to see you all again!
I really hope things are as happy in your home as they are in mine!
It's Max, and can you believe it, I am now 18 whole weeks old! I am growing so quickly!
As I mentioned in my last newsletter, I got the go ahead from my doctor to start eating real foods, so over the past 2 weeks I have started eating rice cereal and then prunes. Boy oh boy do I LOVE it. It took me a while to get the hang of swallowing it as opposed to spitting it out, but once I got the hang of that, mom can't shovel it in my mouth fast enough. As soon as I swallow one bite I open my mouth for the next one. I also copy mommy and daddy and make lots of "mmmm, mmmmm" sounds while I am eating, it's very funny.
I still chew on anything I can get my hands on, and am a very slobbery baby sometimes. Maybe I am starting to teethe? Not sure yet. I love to be held up in the air "flying" and I love to drop big "slobber bombs" on mom or dad, I laugh and squeal, it's the best thing ever!
Mom still has to get a picture of me with our Christmas tree. At first it scared me and made me cry, but now when I see it in the morning after I get up I give it big smiles! I don't know much about Christmas, but I know there is a present under that tree for me so I think I am going to like it a lot!
This weekend My Auntie Donna and Uncle Gavin came over for a visit, it was lots of fun, I haven't seen them in a while so I was happy to get to hang out with them! Then Mommy and Daddy and I went Christmas shopping at the Mall. I like going to the mall a lot, I love to people watch, sometimes I stare, but I am only 4 months old!
Anyway friends and Family, hope you are all doing really well! I love you all! Big slobbery kisses, Baby Max (and Tim & Kristie, well not the slobbery kisses part...)
